Somebody asked me about my blog this morning and it made me kind of miss it. I know I’ve been slacking the last few months so instead of writing a huge entry trying to explain why and all that I’ll just say it like this…. I got lazy. Now I’m just going to pick up as if nothing happened..  lol

The Bean and I had a little time to waste between school and my ladie’s meeting Monday night so we drove around a bit. She was looking at all the different houses and telling me which ones she like and which ones she didn’t and why. I pointed to one and said I liked that brick one. She pipes up and says “Yeah! I like the brick one too momma. ‘Cause if the wolf tries and tries to blow it down it won’t and we’ll still be safe.”

LOL

Yes, I'm feeling sentimental. I'm an emotional wreck thinking back to where I was 4 years ago and what I was doing. Am I silly for remebering it all? Today would have been Saturday. I was 3 days overdue, sick in bed with a headache, swollen limbs and climbing blood pressure. It wasn't fun people! Not fun at all.

I can hardly believe she's going to be 4 in a few days! Ack!!!

So, that's my little update. I know I'm neglecting you all. I'm so sorry... I'm here though! I promise ;)

I was driving the Bean to school this morning when she pointed to a vacant piece of land and said “Mama, that’s where the aliens live”. I asked her to repeat herself and again she calmly stated that was where the aliens lived when they came down. WHAT?? She was confusing me, so I started trying to drag more information out of her. Finally, after she started to get frustrated at my questions she yelled at me “YES Mama! THAT’S THE WHERE THE ALIENS BUILD THEIR TEEPEES WHEN THEY COME DOWN HERE! Duh.” Oh!! O-kay!! ROFL! Now I get it. Every January, they hold this event in that same location…

The INDIANS are there in their teepees. Indians… not aliens. AHHH… I should have known that! LOL I laughed the rest of the way to school.

I've never tried to hide it. In fact, I've willingly told him about it. He's just never paid any interest till stumbling across it the other day.

I casually mentioned blogging this morning and he said he read mine and thought it was sweet.

Yay me ;)

I really, really, really should not blog this.

But I can't help it. It's just TOO funny.

DH just called me.

Him: You'll never guess what I just did.

Me: What happened?

Him: I have never been so embarrassed.

Me: What happened honey?

Him: I was on my way to a call and had to go the bathroom so bad that I had to stop somewhere.

Me: Yeah...

Him: I went in the bathroom at a Burger King and noticed there was no urinal but didn't think anything of it till someone else walked in.

Me: Why?

Him: Because it was a SHE! Two of them. They were in there forever talking and talking and talking...

Me: (beginning to giggle)

Him: I thought I could wait till they were done and sneak out but no.... I finally couldn't wait any longer.

Me: (laughing now)

Him: I just shrugged my shoulders at them and said I had to go.

Me: OMG! I can't believe you went in the woman's bathroom.

Him: Yeah...

Me: (laughing)

Him: Go ahead, laugh.

Me: (laughing hysterically)

Him: I'm going to hang up now.

Me: (laughing too hard to talk)

Him: Bye.

OMG! I was going through some old pictures last night and stumbled across this one again. It's my favorite from when she was little. The day we brought her home from the hospital. I think she weighed 5lbs 13 oz that morning.

Awwwwwwwwwww...........

When I picked the Bean up from school Friday she was carrying her blanket. They send them home each weekend to be laundered. Well, as soon as we stepped outside into the cool air she opened up her blanket and wrapped it around herself. She took a few steps when a thought entered her mind. She stops, looks up at me and says “Momma, do I look like little PINK riding hood?”.

Yesterday when we got home I noticed my neighbors across the street sitting on their porch. The Bean loves them to pieces so we walked over for a little visit. On the way home I had told the Bean that her daddy was on his way home too and after dinner he might take her on a walk through the neighborhood. She loves this so it was something she was really looking forward to. When we got to our neighbor's house she immediately started talking about it. She said "Mrs. L____, my daddy is coming home now. When he gets here he's going to take me walking in our hood."

LOL!

Mrs. L____ was laughing so hard she had tears in her eyes.

I was driving the Bean to school this morning when we approached a stop light. She said "Look momma, it's green!". Just then it turned yellow. I was too close to stop so I kept going. Boy, did that upset her. She actually started crying and telling me I need to slow down when it's yellow and I need to be more careful.

LOL Yes, mom.

Oh, the why's are killing me. Last night at church during one of her many trips to the bathroom. Because, you know she can go hours at home without needing to go but as soon as we get to a public place it's like Niagra Falls. Or worse.

So, we're in the bathroom and she's trying to poop when she starts asking -

Bean: Why do we have to poop mom?

Me: Because it has to go somewhere sweetie. We don't want that yucky stuff to stay in our bodies so we get rid of it by pooping.

Bean: And flushing too?

Me: Yes. And flushing.

Bean: Mom.

Me: Yes.

Bean: Where does the poop come from?

Me: It comes from the food we eat.

Bean: The poop comes from our food?? (with a surprised look on her face)

Me: Yes.

Bean: But we don't eat the poop mom?

Me: That's right.

Bean: I don't want to eat poop momma. That's nasty.

Me: I know sweetie. I don't want to eat it either.

I read a post a few weeks ago on a parenting forum about someone's child constantly asking the question why. I remember chuckling to myself and being grateful that we missed that phase. Ha! I guess I spoke too soon because lately that's ALL the Bean will ask. Of anything! It's driving me absolutely crazy!! LOL

While at my mom's house yesterday my nephew was speaking to me. He must have addressed me as Hey because the Bean got VERY upset. She yelled at him and said "My momma's name is NOT hey. You call her mom or P---- and my daddy is daddy or V-----". I was ROFL! She was so upset over this. I'm guessing 'hey' must be a problem at her school or something.
